The doctrine is very messy, because JWs are a time sensitive faith. There's really no connection.ĮDIT: I would tell you their beliefs, but, it's a real mess and doesn't make any sense, even in the world of faith, so I don't know what value it would bring. They do not see Jesus as God, they are non-Trinitarian, but there's still major differences there. There are no shared beliefs, at least to the mind of a JW. I mean there is some changing ideas around maybe if you never got to hear the "truth" maybe you'll have a chance on judgement day, but generally it's still that you're gone. What they know is what the leadership tells them, which is that you're all going to die soon in Armaggeddon because you have corrupted beliefs. JWs know nothing about Islam, or any other religions really. Note: I do not mean to lump JH and LDS in the same category as I understand you are distinct religions as different from each other as Sihks are from Batists, these just happen to be two areas of interest for my project. So to summarize: What do you (Mormon's and Jehovah's Witnesses) know about Islamic theology, the similarities and differences between your faith and Islam, and what experiences with Muslims have you had? I'm curious to know from any Mormons and Jehovah's witnesses in this group if they could share any insights into your experience with Islam both personally and theologically. Something I have found when speaking with my Muslim brothers and sisters is a general lack of any knowledge of knowledge around who these groups are, with the exception of some big misconceptions around Mormonism (thanks Netflix). I'm working on a project contrasting Islam to LDS (Mormons) and the Jehovah's Witnesses. Among those groups I find interesting are the Amish, Mennonites, Jehovah's Witnesses, LDS, Nation of Islam and Messianic Christianity. I'm very interested in the religions of my home country (United States) and spend lots of time studying the various religious traditions that have have prominence here while being minorities. I'm a Sunni Muslim convert and I write about religion in general.
